Description and structural comparison of staphylococcal cassette chromosome (SCC)-like elements localized to oriC environs of Macrococcus caseolyticus subsp. hominis subsp. nov. CCM 7927^T, Macrococcus epidermidis sp. nov. CCM 7099^T, Macrococcus bohemicus sp. nov. CCM 7100^T, and Macrococcus goetzii sp. nov. CCM 4927^T with SCCmec elements in Macrococcus canis CCM 8748^T (GenBank accession number HG970732) and Macrococcus caseolyticus JCSC7096 (GenBank accession number AB498756). Direct repeats (DR) demarking the SCCs and related elements are shown. Arrows indicate ORFs and their orientation in the chromosome.
