Knockdown of OCC-1 increased the expression of genes involved in cell growth in Caco-2 cells. (A) Venn diagram showing that the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of these two OCC-1 shRNAs identified by microarray were largely overlapped. (B) A heat-map showing the 592 DEGs in Caco-2 cells, with most of the DEGs (93%, 554) were upregulated upon OCC-1 knockdown. (C) Gene ontology (GO) enrichment analysis of the 521 GO annotated OCC-1-repressed genes revealed that OCC-1 mainly represses the expression of post-transcriptional and translational regulators in gene expression.
