RNA ONs were hybridized to DNA ONs such that the emissive nucleoside was placed opposite to complementary base and mismatched bases. For example, hybridization of RNA ON 17a′ with DNA ONs 17A, 17T, 17G and 17C will place 18 opposite to complementary base dA and mismatched bases dT, dG and dC, respectively.
