After intravesical instillation, NG/HCPT was selectively accumulated in tumor tissue because of the strong mucoadhesive properties and internalization by cancer cells. The high intracellular GSH concentration triggered the cleavage of the disulfide bond and further resulted in the selective release of HCPT from NG/HCPT.
