Emodin inhibited viability and proliferation in HepG2 cells. HepG2 cell were treated with different concentrations of emodin for 12 h and 24 h. Cell growth was determined using an MTT assay and was directly proportional to the absorbance at a wavelength of 570 nm. Data are expressed as the means ± S.D. for the three independent experiments.
