(b) Fluid stream widths as a function of flow rate ratio (α = Q_b/Q_s) in the co-flow channel and the corresponding intensity profile of spiked particles at channel end (10 mm). 2× diluted sample was used here. Note that the total flow rates were 225 µl/min for all flow rate ratios other than 0.56 in part (e,f), where total follow rate was 312.5 µl/min. All channel cross-sections were 100 µm (w) × 50 µm (h).
