Lead polyamines potentiate antibiotic activity toward other ESKAPE pathogen species. A. baumannii (1643) or MRSA (USA300) cells were treated with the noted polyamine molecules at increasing concentrations, alongside levofloxacin (A) or chloramphenicol (B). Shown is the fold potentiation of each antibiotic (EC90 values, blue bars) as the efflux pump inhibitor concentration was increased, and the concomitant decline in antibiotic MIC (EC90 values, red bars).
