Control and Il17raΔRTEC mice were subjected to systemic C. albicans infection (n = 6) or left uninfected (n = 4). The percentages of (A) apoptotic kidney-resident tubular epithelial cells (gated on CD45–CD133+cells) were detected by 7-AAD staining, and (B) percentages of active Caspase-3+ kidney-resident tubular epithelial cells (gated on CD45–CD133+ cells) were quantified by DEVD-FMK staining. Numbers in the contour plot reflect percentages of cells. In the dot plots, each dot represents an individual mouse, and data are represented as mean ± SD. Pooled data are from 2 independent experiments and analyzed by 1-way ANOVA. ***P < 0.001; ****P < 0.0001.
