Performance of Molecule Combinations. Box plots showing area under the ROC curve for the top 5 molecules in combination. Using random forest modeling on the discovery set we ranked the top 5 molecules by importance and tested these molecules and molecule combinations on the validation set in 50 iterations. Molecules are shown in the following order, for which each successive molecule is added to the model: N-acetylhexosamine, sialic acid 3, neopterin, diacetylspermine, sialic acid 1. The lower quartile and upper quartile represent the 25th and 75th percentile respectively.
