Strain-induced crack density as a function of applied strain. Five different chromium film thicknesses are shown ranging from 0.9 nm to 3.3 nm. The strain was applied parallel to the direction of the lines. The data was gathered using several metal lines measuring 7.95 mm by 150 µm. For numerical values, see Supplementary Figure S4.
