Bees attempted to drink more frequently when they landed on the pattern they had been trained to associate with a reward. Mean proportion of landings (±s.e.) during the non-rewarded probe phase which led to drinking, for bees that originally been trained to rewarding cross patterns and non-rewarding circle patterns, or vice versa. See results section for statistical analysis.
