TCE exposure decreased levels of gut cytokines. Ileal tissue was harvested from offspring at study terminus, protein was extracted, and multiplex cytokine assay was conducted as described in the “Materials and Methods” section. Means (SD) are represented in the graphs (ng/ml). Data were analyzed by 2-way ANOVA to test for significant interaction and main effects between the 2 variables (TCE × HFD).
