Specifically, Nup153 binds eNOS and ERβ and drives their nuclear translocation. Once in the nucleoplasm Nup153 interacts with p300. Estrogen signaling affects Nup153 function by favouring its association with eNOS, ERβ and p300 and by increasing the acetylase activity specifically associated with Nup153.
