TABLE 1.

Selectivity indexes of PF-06409577 against WNV, ZIKV, and DENV-2

Variable Virus PF-06409577 values after treatment for:
24 h 48 h
CC50a (μg/ml [μM]) 315.7 (923.7) 201.4 (586.4)
EC50b (μg/ml [μM]) WNV 8.2 (24.1)
ZIKV 0.9 (2.6)
DENV-2 4.6 (13.4)
SI (CC50/EC50) WNV 38.5
ZIKV 350.8
DENV-2 43.4
a

The half-maximal cytotoxic concentration (CC50) is the concentration that results in the reduction of 50% of the amount of cellular ATP after 24 or 48 h of treatment of uninfected cells.

b

The half-maximal effective concentration (EC50) is the concentration of drug at which virus yield (MOI of 1 PFU/cell) is inhibited by 50%. Virus yield was determined by plaque assay 24 h p.i. for WNV and ZIKV and 48 h p.i. for DENV-2.
