Autoradiograph of an SDS–polyacrylamide gel showing covalent crosslinking of N¹,O⁶-ethano-2′-deoxyxanthosine-containing oligodeoxyribonucleotides to hAGT. Radiolabeled oligodeoxyribonucleotide duplexes (4 µM) were incubated for 50 h at 37°C in the absence of hAGT (lane 1), in the presence of 50 µM hAGT (lane 2), in the presence of heat-inactivated hAGT (lane 3), in the presence of hAGT pretreated with 10% DMSO (lane 4) and in the presence of hAGT pretreated with 10% DMSO and 100 µM O⁶-benzylguanine.
