The estrogen response in cortical bone is not mediated via estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) in T lymphocytes. Twelve-week-old Lck-ERα^−/− and control mice were ovariectomized and treated with 17β-estradiol (E2, 167 ng/mouse/day) or placebo (P) for 4 weeks. Cortical thickness (Ct.Th.)
