Stimulation-induced DRM coalescence is prevented by the inhibition of actin–myosin contraction. Neutrophils were plated onto fibronectin-coated coverslips for 5 min, incubated for an additional 5 min in the presence of ML-7 (10 μM), and then stimulated with a bath application of fMLF (10 nM) containing ML-7 (10 μM) for the indicated times. Cells were then extracted with cold TX-100, fixed, and labeled for CD44 to visualize DRMs.
