Effect of yeast extract concentration on cell growth and P3HB production. E. coli JM109 (pBHR68 + pMCS-pta-ackA) was cultivated in MM medium supplemented with 5 g/L acetate at 37 °C for 48 h. Different concentration (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 g/L) of yeast extract (YE) was added to the culture. CDW (a), P3HB content (b), P3HB titer (c), and rCDW (d) were measured.
