Enrollment of subjects in this study. Subjects who had a history of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication therapy and a serum H. pylori IgG antibody titer between 3.0 and 9.9 U/mL were excluded. Finally, 222 subjects were enrolled (105 H. pylori-positive) who underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) and a serum test for H. pylori IgG antibodies.
