Figure 5

Neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) mRNA levels in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons under tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) treatment in the presence of synthetic cannabinoid WIN-55,212-2 mesylate (WIN-55). DRG neurons were treated with TNF-α (40 ng/ml) in the presence of WIN-55 (100, 200, 300 and 400 ng/ml) for 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 h. Cells treated with TNF-α only were used as a control. The nNOS mRNA levels was measured and expressed as fold-changes to that of untreated cells (designated as 1). *p<0.05 vs. control; ^p<0.05 vs. immediate lower concentration; #p<0.05 vs. immediate previous time-point.
