Comparison between outbreak magnitude measures and network Unique Robustness Measure (R) in randomly generated and real-world networks. Vertical axes indicate the outbreak magnitude measures (I: epidemic duration; II: cumulated fraction of nodes reached by the infection; IIIIV: maximum and average fraction of infected nodes per step; V: area under the curve of fraction of infected nodes per step), while boxplots group the outcomes of simulations according to the respective network's R value. The Spearman's rank correlation coefficient (rs) was computed, for each plot, on the raw data (i.e. comparing all the outbreak magnitude values for a given measure with their corresponding R values).
