Total cell lysates were prepared for Western blot analysis to determine Nrf2 and HO-1 protein levels. SFN was used as a positive control. (B) Cells were treated with 10 μM ECN for the indicated times. (C) Cells were pretreated with the indicated concentrations of ECN for 6 h and mRNA levels of Nrf2 and HO-1 were analyzed by real-time PCR.
