ang of hSIRT1 eq.; bng hSIRT1 eq. ⋅ mg-1 protein; cnmol of NADH oxidized ⋅ min-1; dnmol NADH oxidized ⋅ min-1. mg-1 protein; enmol of oxygen taken up ⋅ min-1; f nmol of oxygen taken up ⋅ min-1 ⋅ mg-1 protein; values are obtained by using the NAM-sensitive activity. Protein content and enzymatic activities were carried out as reported in Section “Materials and Methods”. For each enzyme, total activity (TA) and specific activity (SA) with respect to 1 g homogenate proteins, as well as the enrichment (E) of SA with respect to homogenate, are reported for all tested fractions. For SRT activity, % of inhibition by 100 mM is also reported. Data are expressed as mean value ± S.D. (n = 3 different experiments).
