Correlation between memory and perceptual task performance and metacognitive indices. A, TMS had no effect on the participants' type 1 sensitivity (d′). The positive correlation between d′ on the perceptual and memory tasks was not affected by TMS. B, In the TMS-vertex condition, the metacognitive efficiencies across the group were significantly correlated between memory and perceptual tasks. However, following TMS-precuneus, such between-tasks metacognitive efficiencies were no longer correlated.
