Adjusted prevalence ratios (PRs) for laughing almost every day in each group according to equivalised income and the number of social groups in men (A) and women (B) were calculated using binomial regression analysis. PRs were adjusted for age (5 years category), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL; independent, not independent, missing) and depression (no depression, depression, missing). The lowest equivalised income and non-participation in social group category was set as the reference category.
