Pharmacokinetic profile of plasma ketones and free MCFA after oral intake of 250 mL Peptamen® containing 10 g of MCT in healthy young volunteers. Values are mean plasma concentration in μM ± standard deviation. Time for maximum concentration (Tmax) around 30 min and a plasma half–life of ~2 h was determined for plasma ketones (BHB and AcA) and free MCFA (C8 and C10).
