Differential expression of plastid-encoded genes in the wild type (WT) and wsl5 grown in C25 conditions. mRNA was enriched from total RNA using Ribo-Zero rRNA Removal Kits for chloroplast-encoded genes from 10-day-old seedlings of the WT and wsl5. mRNA was fragmented and reverse-transcribed using random hexamer primers. The library was then constructed and sequenced using an Illumina HiSEquation 2000. The graph shows the log₂ ratio of transcript levels in the wsl5 mutant compared with the WT.
