Changes in blood glucose level, body weight, and skin blood flow in mice with STZ-induced diabetes. WT or TRPA1-KO mice were administered with saline or STZ (50 mg/kg, i.p.) for seven consecutive days. The casual blood glucose levels (a), body weight (b), and skin blood flow (c) were measured before and weekly after the administrations. The skin blood flow of the hindpaw was measured using laser Doppler flowmetry and expressed as the percentage of each saline-treated group on the same day. Data are expressed as means ± SEM. n = 14–22. *P < 0.05, ***P < 0.001 compared with the WT saline group; ##P < 0.01, ###P < 0.001 compared with the TRPA1-KO saline group.
