The Bliss model for synergy confirms the synergistic effects, between Ag⁺ and 4 antibiotics, against a model Gram-negative bacteria, E. coli. The degree of synergy was quantified, using the Bliss Model for Synergy, after 1 and 4 h of treatment with 5 µM AgNO₃ in combination with the following antibiotics: 80 µM gentamicin, 80 µM kanamycin, 80 µM geneticin, 80 µM tetracycline, and 80 µM Ebselen was used as the positive control.
