Predicted protein structures. The three genes harbour non-synonymous candidate SNPs, detected by three genome-wide methods, located nearby important places in the protein. The structures were predicted by Pymol considering the BeeBase reference amino acid sequences. The grey spheres represent the position and altered amino acids. The coloured spheres represent places with a known and important function in the protein. The maps depict the geographical patterns of the amino acids under selection.
