Effect of BC and/or SG on serum GLP-1. Effect of 2 weeks daily administration BC (20 mg/kg, i.p), SG₁₀, SG20 (10 and 20 mg/kg, p.o) and their combination (BC + SG₁₀) on serum GLP-1 in HF/Fr/STZ diabetic rats. Values are means of 6–10 rats ± SD. As compared with normal control (NC; ^∗), diabetic control (DC; @), BC (#), SG₁₀ ($), and SG₂₀ (Ω) treated groups (one-way ANOVA followed by Newman–Keuls multiple comparison test) at P < 0.05. BC, bromocriptine; SG, sitagliptin; GLP-1, glucagon-like peptide-1.
