Figure 6. — Signaling pathway between HGF/c-Met and Notch1/Jagged1. HGF binds to the c-Met receptor and activates the c-Met signaling pathway. The N1IC domain is cleaved and translocates into the nucleus after Jagged1-mediated activation of Notch1 receptor. Both HGF/c-Met and Jagged1/Notch1 pathways activate the COX-2 promoter and enhance cell proliferation and migration in human gastric cancer cells. HGF, hepatocyte growth factor; N1IC, Notch1 intracellular domain; PGE₂, prostaglandin E₂.
