Each pair of bars on the y-axis compares the responses of pediatric surgeons and neonatologists to 5 different statements. Neonatologists were more likely to disagree that a premature infant with minimal residual bowel is likely to have a good neurodevelopmental outcome and were more likely to express uncertainty regarding whether this child would survive to kindergarten. Surgeons were more likely to disagree that this child may receive a successful intestinal transplant.
