The relationship between pain intensity and unpleasantness ratings in (A) LowP state and (B) HighP state. Pearson's partial correlation was used to investigate the relationship controlling for repeated measures. Pain intensity and unpleasantness ratings were significantly positively correlated in the low P state [r₍₈₎ = 0.752, p = 0.012]. There was no significant correlation between pain intensity and unpleasantness ratings in the HighP state. P, progesterone.
