Note.—Interstitial features were defined as present if more than 10% of the lung was occupied by interstitial features. All analyses were adjusted for age, sex, race, clinical center, current smoking status, number of pack-years smoked, body mass index, and percentage predicted forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV₁), except for the spirometric measures, which were not adjusted for percentage predicted FEV₁. CI = confidence interval, DLCO = diffusing capacity of lung for carbon monoxide, FVC = forced vital capacity, RVLV = right ventricular to left ventricular, SGRQ = St George’s Respiratory Questionnaire, 6MWD = 6-minute walk distance.
