(A) HCT 116 cells treated with 3 μM 5-FdU results in RPA foci accumulating at the telomeres. The pretreatment of cells with 10 μM BIBR1532 significantly reduces the number of RPA foci accumulating at telomeres after 5-FdU treatment (p = 0.00026). RPA foci are indicated in green, and telomeres are indicated in red. The nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue).

(B) The percentage of cells with more than three RPA telomere-induced foci was quantitated for each experimental condition. Bars represent the mean ± SEM (n = 3).
