Irradiation suppresses colony formation, alters the cell-cycle distribution, and induces apoptosis in C1GalT1 knock down cells. (A) C1GalT1 mRNA expression in esophageal cancer cells transfected with C1GalT1 siRNA or negative control siRNA was measured by qPCR. (B) C1GalT1 protein expression in each group was measured by western blot. (C) Cell apoptosis rates were determined by the Annexin V-FITC/PI binding assay 48 h after 4 Gy X-ray irradiation.
