DPIE enhances pro-inflammatory cytokine expression in IL-1β-stimulated human periodontal ligament cell (hPDLs). hPDLs were treated for 12 h with 4 μM DPIE in the absence or presence of 10 ng/mL IL-1β, and then mRNAs and supernatants were analyzed using real-time PCR and ELISA, respectively. (A–C) DPIE enhances IL-6, IL-8, and COX-2 mRNA production in IL-1β-stimulated hPDLs.
