SOURCE Authors’ analysis of survey responses from 2,739 US citizens ages 19–64 with incomes below 138 percent of the federal poverty level. NOTES All responses are survey weighted to produce representative estimates. Results are regression adjusted for age, race/ethnicity, political identification, marital status, educational attainment, sex, family income, and rurality.
