The Reff(0) decreases as the immunity in humans increases and Ae. aegypti are infected with Wolbachia. This indicates that even though infecting the mosquitoes with Wolbachia might not reduce the initial R0 to be less than one, it could be an effective strategy in future seasonal outbreaks to bring Reff to be less than one when part of the population is immune.
