Sketch of the functionalization of flat polyacrylamide hydrogel with collagen (FPC) and cell culture application. Parylene C is placed on glass coverslips (a), treated with oxygen plasma (b) and uniformly coated with collagen (c). PAm pre-polymer solution is gently pipetted on activated glass coverslips and Parylene C mask is put in contact with the solution (e).
