Ectopic expression of microRNA 466 (miRNA-466) altered the expression of cyclin D1, apoptosis regulator BAX (BAX), and matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells. (A) Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and (B) Western blot analysis showed that the mRNA and protein expression, respectively, of cyclin D1 and MMP-2 was downregulated, while BAX expression was upregulated in miR-466 mimics-transfected SW-620 cells compared to negative control miRNA (Neg-miR)-transfected cells. Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) was used as the internal control. Values are expressed as the mean ± SD of three independent experiments. *p < 0.05, ***p < 0.001 vs. Neg-miR group.
