Note: Class membership is driven by the probability of high depressive symptoms, defined as total SMFQ score 11 or above, at six follow-up points. Class 1 = consistently low symptoms at all six follow-ups (‘No symptoms’). Class 2 = symptoms low in the first two follow-ups but increase subsequently (‘Adolescent-onset symptoms’). Class 3 = consistently high symptoms at all six follow-ups (‘Persistent symptoms’).
