Age- and sex-matched C57Bl/6J (solid lines) and Il36g−/− mice (dashed lines) were infected with (A) influenza PR8, (B) 30,000 EID50 ×31, or (C) 300,000 EID50 ×31 and monitored daily for weight loss. Data are combined from 2–3 independent replicate experiments of at least 10 mice per group per replicate. Male and female mice were used in equal proportions. Asterisks indicate significant differences in survival by the log-rank test or differences in weight loss by Student’s t test.
