Liquiritin has no significant effect on cell viability or hepatotoxicity. (A) HACAT (above) and L02 (below) cells were exposed to liquiritin at different concentrations for various durations, as indicated. MTT analysis was then used to evaluate cell viability. (B) Levels of ALT and AST in the serum of mice treated with different concentrations of liquiritin-only were measured to calculate the hepatotoxicity of liquiritin in mice.
