AeaeCec5 offered anti-inflammatory protection against E. coli and P. aeruginosa infection. Mice were i.p. infected with E. coli or P. aeruginosa (2 × 107 CFUs/mouse), and treated with one dose of AeaeCec5 (10 mg/kg) or PBS 30 min post-infection. a-c 18 h after treatment, all the mice were analyzed for TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 production in the lung (a), blood (b) and peritoneal lavage (c) by ELISA assay.
