Macrophage apoptosis in MGF-overexpressing CTX-injured muscles. Samples were harvested at 3 and 4 days post-injury (n = 5/treatment/timepoint). Apoptotic macrophages (CD11b+ F4/80+ Annexin V+ 7-AAD+) were examined. Significant difference between vector + CTX and pMGF + CTX: ∗P < 0.05.
