Multiplication step: evolution of the embryogenic potential of Theobroma cacao L. embryogenic cell lines EET96 and EET103. After various durations of culture in CC21 medium, 0.1 g of callus tissue was transferred into 100 mL CC2 medium. The embryos were counted by the naked eye after 4 wk. The data represent the averages of 16 replicates (four flasks × four measures flask⁻¹).
