(A) Occurrence of validated transcription factor binding sites was examined in 549 genomic sequences enriched by APC ChIP-seq and associated with genes increased (292, red circles on right) or decreased (257, red circles on left) in expression following APC silencing. (B) Overlap data were tabulated to calculate fold overrepresentation of each transcription factor binding site relative to expected background. The hypergeometric probability test indicated higher significance of overlap for all transcription factors with the subset of APC-associated genomic regions linked to increased as opposed to decreased expression following APC loss (column 10 compared to column 6).
