White shades in map indicate high elevations; red and green mid, elevation; and yellow and cyan, lowlands. The box on the bottom right shows the phyto‐geographical regions of the MDB based on a multiple‐species continent‐wide flora regionalization (González‐Orozco et al. 2014b).
